Interior Renovation
New York, NY

A financial services firm in Midtown Manhattan engaged us to design a full-floor expansion alongside a targeted transformation of their existing 9th floor offices on Park Avenue.
Originally renovated in 2016 during the height of the cool-toned, monochromatic office trend, the existing space felt stark and impersonal. Our mandate was clear: introduce warmth, depth, and a more residential sensibility without losing the sophistication expected of a Park Avenue address.
The 10th floor expansion introduced a full-service amenity level, including a café designed to function as both hospitality-driven gathering space and informal meeting hub. On the 9th floor, the intervention was surgical. Significant portions of the existing stone flooring and wood finishes were preserved, requiring precise coordination to seamlessly integrate new materials nearly a decade later. Matching and weaving updated finishes into the original palette demanded both technical rigor and restraint, ensuring continuity without compromise.
A new gym and upgraded amenity spaces were thoughtfully integrated to support employee wellness and encourage a return-to-office culture. Work areas were further enhanced with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, reinforcing the firm’s forward-thinking operational needs.
The result is a cohesive, layered workplace that balances institutional credibility with warmth and human scale.
